High Density: We select peppercorns with high density, often exceeding 500-550 g/l. This indicates fully mature, ripe berries packed with flavour, unlike lighter, less potent alternatives. (Standard quality benchmarks often start here).

Rich Piperine Content: Guaranteed minimum of 4% piperine, the key compound responsible for pepper's characteristic pungency and many of its health benefits (like antioxidant activity and aiding nutrient absorption). High-quality varieties can range from 4% to over 5%.

Abundant Essential Oils: Contains significant levels of volatile essential oils (often over 2%), delivering a complex, powerful aroma and a rich, lasting taste profile that generic peppers lack.

Naturally Potent & Processed: Our peppercorns are naturally sun-dried, a traditional method that carefully preserves the precious piperine and essential oils, locking in the authentic flavour and aroma.

Rich in Minerals: Beyond flavour, black pepper is a source of essential minerals. Just one teaspoon (approx. 2.3g) provides around 13% of the daily recommended intake of Manganese, vital for metabolism and bone health.

Sustainable & Ethical Choice: By choosing Ecofiya, you support sustainable farming practices that protect the environment and ensure fair livelihoods for farming communities in the Western Ghats.
